You-Create is calling all young people of school or college age in and around Belper, Duffield and surrounding communities. If you enjoy painting, writing prose or poetry, taking pictures, drawing cartoons, or making films, this could be for YOU.

You-Create will enable YOU to show your talents in a public exhibition and be judged by professional artists and writers with cash prizes to be won too!​

2026 is a big year for Belper, and our theme for 2026 is Belper Past, Present, Future. You can find out more about the Derwent Valley Mills Belper 250 project by clicking here

Entries for You-Create 2026 have now closed. The public display at “Number Twenty-Eight”, The Market Place, Belper is being held from 10am to 4pm, on Saturday, 21st March 2026.

 

Local dignitaries will be invited to attend and view the exhibition too. Light refreshments will be available. There will be an official opening at 11am on Saturday, 21st March 2026, however viewing will be possible from 10am. Subject to agreement with the organisers, winners, runners up and Highly Commended entrants will also be displayed on Belper Arts Trail- usually the Sunday/Monday of the first May Bank Holiday.
